Founded in 2018, Choice Recovery Coaching, Inc. (CRC) is a Massachusetts-based, independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit and certified Minority-Owned Small Business dedicated to fostering a culture of recovery, equity, and wellness. CRC’s mission is to encourage, guide, and support individuals and families facing substance use challenges while strengthening communities through resilience and recovery-oriented values.
CRC empowers individuals to build recovery capital and sustain their wellness journeys. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, CRC led the Commonwealth by providing virtual Recovery Coach training, supporting over 290 new coaches across the U.S. and abroad. By 2024, CRC had authored more than two dozen trainings and delivered education to 900+ individuals, building the Wellness Recovery Workforce across diverse disciplines.
CRC’s innovative programming includes Coaching Mental Wellness, a RiZE Massachusetts-funded initiative supporting recovery coaches working with individuals facing both substance use and mental health challenges. In addition, CRC’s Peer Recovery Workforce Supervision curriculum has become one of the most comprehensive supervision models in the field, helping organizations implement and sustain Peer Recovery Models across healthcare, justice, education, and community systems.
Working in partnership with state agencies, certified community health centers, and national organizations, CRC continues to lead in developing Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) and advancing trauma-informed, strength-based approaches to wellness. In recognition of their influence, the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services named its annual “Infinite Pathways of Wellness and Recovery Conference” after one of CRC’s hallmark curricula.
Driven by the belief that every person and community has the capacity for growth and healing, Choice Recovery Coaching remains committed to building systems and relationships that champion recovery for all.
