What would everyone like to see at an event? What type of activities would you like to see and type of speakers and kid activities. Would like to hear from others on ideas on what they would like to see.

Before sharing ideas, could you please help clarify a couple of details?

• Are you planning for this event to be in-person, virtual, or hybrid?
• If in-person, is there a specific region of Massachusetts you are targeting (e.g., Western MA, Central, Greater Boston, Southeast, etc.)?

Knowing the format and location may help folks suggest activities, speakers, and kid-friendly components that make the most sense for your audience.

Hi HARDCORE!

I’ve gone to a few events that incorporated holistic approaches to recovery that I think might also be a fun way to engage with kids and those in recovery alike. For example, there are many recovery friendly organizations that look to increase movement or fitness, like The Phoenix. If you bring in a program like this that’s located near where you’re hosting the event to run the group through some simple movement exercises might be an interesting way to engage the crowd. I’m also thinking I’ve seen a really great presentation by a music therapist that led us through various activities using rhythm sticks or just listening to different genes a music.

Most of the events we hold are normally on the Southeast of MA. Also any event we hold is in person currently. I am sure in the future they will also be online. We have somethings coming up in the future when they are confirmed we will be posting them in the community posts.
