DESCRIPTION:The Sun Will Rise – Event for people bereaved due to substance use related causes. \nParticipants will make and glaze clay hearts and then etch with the name or a word of your choice onto it. The potter will take the hearts home to fire them\, and when the heart is returned to you\, you will use a gold metallic pen to perform the Kintsugi – symbolizing our broken hearts. Registration required. \n18 and over event. \nCost: FREE but requires a $20 per person deposit that you will receive back at the event. If you sign up and do not attend the event without giving us 10 days notice\, the deposit is not refundable. We do this to be able to continue to offer events at no cost to you. DESCRIPTION:People working in jobs affected by the overdose crisis often carry a heavy burden from the grief\, stress and trauma of the day to day experiences doing this work\, combined with all we face as humans outside of work. This workshop will provide space to name all that we are up against\, while offering tangible\, practical tools to help support ourselves and each other through grief\, loss\, distress and trauma. Guided nervous system exercises and other tips and tricks will be offered as tools which can help aid in building long term resilience\, and also anchor back into during acutely distressing or traumatic events. \n  \nAfter this training attendees will be able to: \n\nIdentify stressors and issues direct service providers (DSPs) face\nDiscuss what tools\, practices\, and areas of focus could help support DSPs\nUtilize\, identify\, and practice different techniques and tools that can be of support to them individually\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Often as service providers we take on a caretaker role in and outside of work\, many times neglecting our own needs. Harm reduction and meeting people “where they’re at” is supposed to be a guiding principle. Are we adhering to this principle with ourselves? This workshop will explore areas of life such as our own substance use\, mental health\, interpersonal relationships\, and where we can utilize the practice of harm reduction on ourselves\, as a way of helping build sustainability and resilience as humans doing direct service work amidst overdose and other related crises.  \n  \nAfter the training participants will be able to: \n\nRecognize ways to apply harm reduction principles in the context of our work and life\nDiscuss how to integrate harm reduction into personal decision making\nRemember different ways to access community care and peer grief support

DESCRIPTION:The Sun Will Rise and Team Sharing are excited to announce two weekend retreats for parents bereaved due to substance use related causes! These retreats are designed as an opportunity to renew\, refresh\, reset and build community. \nSpace is limited. Completing this form lets us know you’re interested\, but it does not confirm a spot. We will follow up once registrations have been reviewed and placements are finalized. If we have more interest than space available\, we will add a waitlist.  \nImportant Details: \n       Date: June 26-28 2026 or August 14-16 2026 \n       Arrival time: 5:00 pm \n       Location: Rolling Ridge Retreat & Conference Center 660 Great Pond Rd North Andover MA \n       Includes: Lodging\, meals and activities for the weekend \n       Cost: The actual cost of this retreat is $388 per person. Thanks to dedicated grant funding\, there is NO Cost to Attendees. There is however a $50 per person refundable deposit to hold the spot. We will send a payment link\, once your spot is confirmed.  \n       Travel: Attendees will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs to and from the retreat center.  \n       Agenda: Tentative schedule.
