Join The Sun Will Rise Foundation, the Town of Braintree, The Braintree Community Partnership, the Town of Weymouth and the Weymouth Prevention Alliance as we come together to honor International Overdose Awareness Day. This evening is an opportunity to remember those who have died due to substance use-related causes while standing alongside others who understand the lasting impact of these deaths. We will gather at Pond Meadow Park for a remembrance ceremony where participants will be invited to take part in our glow stick ceremony. This is a meaningful ceremony that honors the lives of those we carry in our hearts and reminds us that their light continues to shine. Stay for just the ceremony or walk with us, carrying our own handmade illuminated memorial lanterns, around Pond Meadow. Together we remember. Register here. Our group will have the farm fields to ourselves as we gather together to admire the blooms spread throughout the seven acre flower farm. Walk the rows at your own pace, choose your stems, and bring home a hand-cut bouquet straight from the field. We will have the opportunity to cut 20 stems of beautiful summer blooms to bring home. Zinnias, lisianthus, cosmos, snapdragons, celosia, sunflowers, pincushion, globe amaranth, grasses are among the possible varieties that may be bursting!

Cost: FREE but requires a $20 per person deposit that you will receive back at the event. If you sign up and do not attend the event without giving us 10 days notice, the deposit is not refundable. Join The Sun Will Rise Foundation for a summer evening on the water aboard a scenic Cape Cod Canal cruise. REGISTER HERE
Together we’ll spend two hours cruising through approximately two-thirds of the Cape Cod Canal to the Herring Run and back, taking in beautiful views and enjoying live onboard commentary about the canal’s history, landmarks and points of interest.
This is an opportunity to spend time with others who understand grief, enjoy the fresh air, and experience a peaceful evening on the water together.
We hope you’ll join us for this special evening!
Important Details
–Cruise departs promptly at 6:30 PM
–Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early
–Metered parking is available at the pier and along Onset Avenue through the Town of Wareham
–Indoor and outdoor seating available
–All ages welcome
–Restrooms onboard
–Cash bar available with beer, wine and mixed drinks for purchase
–Guests are welcome to bring their own snack or non-alcoholic beverage
–No glass containers allowed
–No outside alcoholic beverages permitted onboard
–Dress for the weather … layers and sunscreen are encouraged
–We have chartered the whole boat! Friends and family welcome.

The Sun Will Rise – Event for people bereaved due to substance use related causes.
Participants will make and glaze clay hearts and then etch with the name or a word of your choice onto it. The potter will take the hearts home to fire them, and when the heart is returned to you, you will use a gold metallic pen to perform the Kintsugi – symbolizing our broken hearts. Registration required.
18 and over event.

MOAR’s Southeast Massachusetts Policy Forum on Wednesday, May 27th, from 1:00 – 3:00PM at the Taunton Public Library (12 Pleasant Street, Taunton, MA, 02780).
This important event will bring together members of the recovery community and allies to explore key policies in the Massachusetts legislature that impact recovery efforts. Topics will include automated sealing of CORI records, OUD education in schools, Treatment Not Incarceration, and other critical initiatives shaping the future of recovery in our state.
The Sun Will Rise – Join us for an intimate, hands-on silver stamping experience at Spoon & Hammer Studio in Mashpee MA. In this small gathering (limited to 6 participants), you will create a personalized keepsake, choosing either a bracelet, keychain or pendant and stamp a name or meaningful word into metal as a lasting tribute.
This is more than a jewelry workshop. It is time around a table with others who understand, using your hands to shape something enduring. The physical act of hammering, sanding and stamping often opens space for connection, reflection, laughter and tears. You will leave with a piece that carries your chosen words forward.
If you have already attended this workshop, we ask that you keep spaces open to others who have not yet attended.

Who Can Join? Open to all LGBTQIA+ individuals in recovery or seeking recovery. Allies are welcome to attend and show support!
